“Clucksana” with our Zen hens
After years of yoga with dogs, cats, goats, and even pigs, now it’s the chickens’ turn! Experience the joy of yoga while surrounded by friendly chickens. Join us on our historic farm for sessions designed to connect you with nature. May through October, Sundays at 9am. $25 per person.

Embrace nature in our Yoga + Meditation garden
We offer slow-flow yoga sessions that require no prior experience with yoga or chickens. Known in the U.S. as Clucksana, Chicken Yoga represents a fun and peaceful practice for finding calm, while connecting to nature — a welcome respite to our otherwise crazy and stressful daily routine.

We begin with a gentle “meet and greet” session, holding small cups containing seeds while inviting chickens to approach and feel comfortable nearby, sometimes even allowing them to settle on arms or knees. Following the introductions, we’ll transition into breathing exercises and yoga practice – entering various poses while chickens move freely about.
When chickens choose to sit beside you, these moments create unique, intimate connections that enhance enjoyment and relaxation. Their clucking and cooing presence generates feelings of peace and community, and fills classes with a sense of lightness and release.

Yoga has been proven through numerous studies to provide significant benefits – improving flexibility, balance, posture, reducing blood pressure, lowering blood sugar levels, contributing to pain relief, and naturally reducing stress and anxiety.
Adding chickens to yoga practice amplifies these effects. Research in human-animal interaction fields indicates that animal presence reduces stress hormones like cortisol, enhances serotonin secretion (“the happiness hormone”), decreases loneliness, and strengthens community belonging.

The Fine Print…
Gardens are naturally dirty and have insects. Chickens are animals that do what they want, not what we want, and they poop. You should wear old, comfortable clothing and shoes that you don’t mind getting dirty.
Chickens do not like screaming, chasing, forced pick up, or strong scents from perfume or chemical bug spray, so please don’t wear either during class.
These are adult-only classes for those 18+ years old. Please do not bring unregistered guests or children – registered adult participants only. If you’d like to bring your children for a farm visit, we’re happy t0 schedule that separately.
Don’t forget your sense of humor!
Do I need prior experience?
No. Prior yoga or chicken experience is NOT required to join our classes! We welcome participants of all skill levels, from beginners to seasoned yogis, ensuring everyone finds joy, breath, and movement amidst our feathered friends.
What should I bring?
Free outdoor parking is available. You’ll need your phone if you’d like to take photos. There is a bathroom in the farmhouse you may use. Wet wipes, and approved chicken snacks are provided for you. We recommend you bring an extra-large towel (instead of a yoga mat) that you don’t mind getting dirty and placing directly on the grass, and that you can shake off and toss into your washing machine when you get home. Bring water if you need it.
